Select Car Leasing are one of the UK’s leading vehicle leasing companies. They have gone through a period of phenomenal growth and are now on track to be the largest leasing company in the UK within the next 2 years, something both Evolved and Select are extremely proud of, having been only known locally and nowhere to be seen from an organic perspective before our campaign commenced over two years ago.

The campaign KPIs are straightforward, the client requires quality leads through their website. The site had doubled organic traffic year-on-year between 2015 and 2016 with Evolved running the campaign, so the pressure was on to achieve two key objectives: 

  1. Increase lead volume and quality through organic search.
  2. Increase overall organic visibility through a content-led approach.

What we did

Evolved’s strategy for Select is broken down into three key areas:

Technical: Provide strategic consultancy to fix technical SEO issues and support with the development of a new website.

Content: Implement comprehensive and useful onsite content to attract visitors at all stages of the sales funnel.

Outreach: Help to establish Select as the leading authority on vehicle leasing with engaging content marketing pieces and blog content.

The results above show the campaign performance over the past 12 months, however, since the beginning of our work until now, we have achieved phenomenal performance figures for Select Car Leasing, with an improvement in traffic of 920%, an increase in organic conversions of 208% and growth in visibility of 740%, highlighting our continued achievements for the brand since we commenced work in July 2015.

How we did it

At the start of the new strategy, we carried out detailed audits to review the site’s technical, content and link profile set up, which allowed us to determine the key priorities for the year ahead and identify opportunities for further growth.

We solved a number of critical technical issues that were limiting search visibility, including fixing duplicate content, implementing new landing pages and category content to target high volume keywords for manufacturers and vehicle body types, creating comprehensive advice guides to help potential customers, and delivering over 20 pieces of creative content for outreach and link building purposes.

We’ve produced useful and popular content for Select, which has helped propel them to become the most visible car leasing company, ahead of major competitors. They rank 1st position for the extremely competitive search term ‘car leasing’, and we have ensured that this is maintained.

In addition, the business had to recruit 50 new sales people to deal with the leads generated online, which have almost tripled thanks to this increase in organic visibility, thus doubling the headcount of the business.
