Somebody, stop us!* This week we’ve not only managed to get a client featured on Fox News(!), the New York Post and The Daily Mail (to name but 3 of over 50 links acquired in one week!), we’re thrilled to announce we’ve been shortlisted in three categories at The Drum Content Awards! Yes, that’s right, we’re one of only 2 North East agencies gracing the list of outstanding content campaigns from across the industry.
The awards honour the best in modern marketing, focusing on content creation and branded entertainment campaigns that drive results, engage audiences and challenge the consensus.
First off, we’re in the running for the prestigious Content Marketing Agency of the Year award, amongst some fantastic agencies and in-house teams, who’ve produced creative, thought-provoking, inspiring and brilliant content over the past year. We’re in great company and frankly a win for any of us is a win for the future of content marketing as a craft.
Our work for Select Car Leasing has had its fair share of industry attention over the past few years, and we’re thrilled we can add one more to the list of appreciation, as the campaign is up for the Best Automotive Campaign/Strategy at The Drum Content Awards.
One of the highlights of our work with the leasing brand this year was the The Best and Weirdest World Leader’s Cars content piece, looking at the rides of the likes of Vladimir Putin and President Trump himself, which acquired links from Business Insider, iNews, The Scotsman – and more. Then there was the Driving Violations interactive quiz, which earned coverage across Tier 1 titles including The Sun, MSN, Metro and The Daily Express.
Finally, we’ve earned a spot on the Best Retail Campaign/Strategy list for our continued work with Mattress Online. We’ve worked incredibly hard since commencing work with the brand in Summer 2017 to restore rankings following a link-based penalty and have done so with style.
The content we’ve produced for Mattress Online has picked up coverage and links from mainstream news titles including The Daily Mail, Glamour, The Sun, The Express and London Evening Standard, plus more niche titles in the home improvement sector, including Ideal Home, Country Living and House Beautiful. Highlights this past year include the ‘Are you cleaning enough?’ infographic series and the ‘Bugs in the home’ piece, an eye-opening study into the bacteria found on every day items. We’re hoping The Drum Content Awards judges aren’t squeamish…
We were also included on the shortlist for the recently announced Northern Marketing Awards for our work with Mattress Online, and news just in has confirmed we’re also up for a Northern eCommerce Award for the Best eCommerce Search Campaign for the same client. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for both!
Whilst it’s amazing to be shortlisted for industry awards like The Drum Content Awards and the above, what we’re most proud of here is the work our team have been able to produce in-house, the results we’ve been able to achieve and our client satisfaction rates. When we started Evolved Search 4 years ago it was with the aim to do things better: with the perfect combination of creativity and use of data to achieve outstanding results. The campaigns we’ve produced for clients – not just the ones short listed here – are testament to that commitment.
Still though, we’ve polished the trophy shelf just in case…
